Treatments — All-on-X

All-on-X full-arch restoration

A complete arch of fixed, natural-looking teeth secured by a small number of implants — so you can eat, speak and smile with confidence again.

What it is

A whole new smile, firmly anchored

All-on-X (sometimes called All-on-4 or All-on-6, depending on the number of implants used) replaces an entire upper or lower arch of missing or failing teeth with a fixed bridge supported by strategically placed implants.

Because the implants are angled to make the most of your available bone, many patients can avoid extensive grafting and receive a provisional fixed bridge in a streamlined timeline — a stable, comfortable alternative to removable dentures.

  • Fixed teeth that don't come out at night
  • Restored bite strength for natural eating
  • Helps preserve jawbone over the long term
  • No palate coverage, so taste and speech feel natural

Who All-on-X can help

All-on-X is often considered when teeth are beyond saving or already missing. In a consultation, Dr Arcila will assess your suitability with a thorough exam and 3D imaging.

Failing teeth

Advanced gum disease, decay or fractures affecting most or all of an arch.

Loose dentures

Those tired of removable dentures that move, click or limit what they can eat.

Multiple missing teeth

People missing many teeth who want a fixed, long-term solution rather than a plate.

Your treatment journey

What to expect

Assessment

3D CBCT imaging, photographs and a discussion of your goals and health.

Digital planning

Your arch is planned virtually so implant position and your new teeth are mapped in advance.

Implant day

Implants are placed and a fixed provisional bridge is fitted while you heal.

Final teeth

Once integrated, your definitive bridge is crafted for fit, function and appearance.

Common questions

All-on-X, answered

Is All-on-4 the same as All-on-X?

They're closely related. "All-on-X" is the general term for a full arch supported by a variable number of implants — most commonly four (All-on-4) or six (All-on-6). The right number depends on your bone, bite and the arch being treated, which is determined during planning.

Will I leave with teeth on the same day?

In many cases a fixed provisional bridge can be attached shortly after surgery, so you're not left without teeth. This depends on implant stability and your individual situation, which Dr Arcila will discuss with you beforehand.

Do the implants need bone grafting first?

One advantage of angled implant placement is that it often makes the most of existing bone, reducing the need for grafting. Where bone is insufficient, grafting may still be recommended for a strong, lasting result.

How do I care for my new teeth?

Your fixed bridge is cleaned much like natural teeth, with some specific tools we'll show you, plus regular professional maintenance visits to keep everything healthy long term.
